Some inspiring images from the portfolio of Amanda Mclauchan. I loving the giant cutlery print in the top right photo!

pinecone lamp

pineconelamp1.jpg

Today I’m loving … this gorgeous pendant by Russian designer Pavel Eekra. The lamp consists of 56 plates and screws, without an internal skeleton due to rounding forms plaques form gaps through which light passes.

pineconelamp2.jpg

Boards themselves are also slightly transparent, this creates a particular pattern of light from the outside and downward bright light. More information about the lamp can be found on Pavel’s website.

a renovated spanish farmhouse

campo1.jpg

This home is the last one in the series of Formentera summer houses that I have been featuring for the past months. When the owners bought this farmhouse it was nothing but ruins but after a long renovation it is now a beautiful home.

campo2.jpg

The old stables and barns are now bedrooms which open onto a large central courtyard, which function as an outdoor area for relaxing and entertaining.

campo3.jpg

The decoration reflects the owners’ passion for traveling and differed cultures. Various items which they discovered during their travels around the world can be found inside as well as outside the house.

campo4.jpg

The stained concrete, exposed beams, stripped wood, boulders and whitewashed walls and the use of natural material all enhance the feeling of freshness and respond to the intention of the owners to maintain the spirit of the rural architecture of the island.

campo7.jpg

The chandelier in the bedroom (images above and below) was bought during a trip to the Provence. The whitewashed shelves offers room for souvenirs from other trips.

campo6.jpg

The bathroom (image below) is decorated in line with the rest of the house. The sinks and counters are made of concrete, so are the walls and floors.

katrin arens

katrin11.jpg

I have posted about Katrin Arens‘ beautiful kids furniture collection before (you can see this post here).

katrin12.jpg

And I already featured this furniture maker and interior designer’s home some years ago (you can see this here).

katrin13.jpg

But I have to show these images that I found on Milk Magazine’s website as well. I just love Katrin’s work, especially her sweet childrens furnitures pieces.

katrin15.jpg

On Katrin’s website you can find more furniture and interior accessories. Each piece is unique and handmade, using reclaimed materials from derelict country houses, cellars and carpentry studios.
