Today I’m loving … this chalkboard paint wall. This is not the first time that I show you a wall painted with chalkboard paint but I have not seen a wall like this in a bedroom before!

The new Toast Spring Summer 2012 collection is out and as always their catalogue is a feast to the eye. Every page screams summer to me! Here a selection to get you in a summer mood..
Cushion Oleron (above) is made of a soft ticking stripe cotton.
The striped hamam towels are perfect to take to the beach. The espadrilles are available in various colors.
This clay tableware is handmade in a small South African pottery. Each is made individually so no two will be the same.
I love these soft, washed cotton bedlinen with lace trim on the duvet covers and the pillow cases in beautiful colors such as pebble grey and pale cream.

This is the home of Ylava Skarp in Leksand, Sweden. Her stunning house was recently featured in Swedish magazine PLAZA Interior. I love the high ceilings (image above), the combination of white, wood and black (image below) and that typical Swedish wood burning stove.

Today I’m loving… this beautiful rustic kitchen with Moroccan touches. The combination of rough wood with concrete is just perfect! Below some more images from the portfolio of stylist Barbara Groen.
The wooden chair is from Piet Hein Eek.

The combination of black, white and wood really works well in interiors. It is classical and the neutral colors have a calming atmosphere, while wood gives a bit of warmth. Above and below some inspiring images that show this beautiful combination of colors and materials.

This once rundown old farmhouse is now a beautiful family home. It is located just outside of Parma, a region in Italy well known for its cheese and delicious ham.
Before the restoration started, the entire house with all the details was photographed for documentation as the family wanted to preserve the original atmosphere.
The entire building has been restored in collaboration with the architect Lucilla Scazzi. Together they tried to preserve the original structure and used the old materials as much as possible.
A lovely bedroom and nursery.

This small and cosy family home is created in an industrial building in Paris. A few years ago some friends and investors bought this former tapestry factory and they converted it into various apartments. This apartment is beautifully decorated with vintage and designer furniture pieces.
A true eye-catcher is the wire lamp from Marie Christophe, a French artist who makes whimsical and gorgeous sculptural lamps and chandeliers with curved wire and colorful beads
