another favourite summer home on formentera

Today another one of my favourite summer houses, also located on Formentera, Spain.

It belongs to Eugenia, who works as a fashion model but she could also be an interior decorator. She did a fantastic job decorating this fabulous place. Isn’t this kitchen with gorgeous wooden table to die for?!

I love the rustic vibe. The rug, the pillows in various patterns and colors, the wooden furniture … everything fits perfectly.

The bedroom has a serene atmosphere, with beautiful black and white bedspreads. The outdoor areas (image below + top image) are perfect for outdoor eating and relaxing. I could picture myself there zipping from a cocktail!

cool office space

I found this very cool office space on Design*Sponge. Fashion site Refinery29 just moved their 70-person team into this space in New York’s Cooper Square. They worked with designer Chad McPhail to create a space that “balances clean-lined minimal elements with more rustic industrial materials to create a neutral canvas” to be filled with color and pattern. I think it is a wonderful idea to create a working environment that has cosy, ‘home like’ elements.

mungo & maud for stylish pets

In 2008 I posted about Mungo & Maud, a pet accessories brand creating elegant, well-designed accessories to complement a contemporary home. The Mungo & Maud collection has grown over the years so it is time for an update on this gorgeous (online) store. Their products are minimalist yet tactile with a strong use of natural materials such as cotton, wool, leather and linen. They range from hand-stitched leather collars and leads to wooden feeding bowls, cotton beds and organic treats, made to Mungo & Maud’s own recipe.

a rustic beach house in bahia, brazil

This beautiful rustic home is located in Trancoso, a town in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It belongs to former JP Morgan executive of JP Morgan Tierry Moriceau, who now has a different life here that he used to in Paris. The house has been renovated by architect Daniela Oliveira. Natural, rustic materials and artisan techniques has been used to preserve the ‘old hippie’ atmosphere.
