Marion from The Marion House Book has posted a great diy project on her blog. She bought some plain baskets and designed a pattern and color combination. She then painted the baskets in these chosen colors and design. An easy way to personalize some baskets and give them character!
You can find the full instruction (incl. more photos) here on Marion’s blog.

This gorgeous house belongs to Greek interior designer Marilyn Katsaris. Located on the island of Tinos (Greece), it is designed by Greek Zege architects. This vacation home is actually made up of two separate houses which have been brought together through a picturesque veranda. Respecting the architectural surroundings and capturing the day to day beauty and simplicity, the architects created this private residence as it was meant to be designed for Tinos.
All bathrooms, with exposed rock formations, have a different color selected from the natural surrounding elements such as blue and sand color.
The exterior architecture coincides with the rules and balance of the typical residential islandic forms. Pigeon whole windows, curved white forms of structure and exposed stone formations are the examples of this typical form of architecture.
With this beautiful hammock, colorful ethnic style cushions and this fab ikat chair you can create a similar bohemian atmosphere as the outdoor areas featured in the previous post. The cotton hammock is available here.
These stunning cushions all have an ethnic touche: Sparkler cushion in white with turquoise, Jacintho cushion in beautiful bold colors, Sparkler cushion in white with plum, Jacintho cushion in desert colors,
I love this ikat fabric chair. It is available in turquoise, purple and orange.
Today some outdoor areas with a slightly ethnic touch. A similar look can be created by using ethnic cushions (for example ikat print, kilim or berber cushions), succulent plants, a hammock, a wooden or Moroccan table and the famous Acapulco chairs (as featured in the last image).

And again a beautiful house on Formentera, Spain! The style of this summer home is rustic modern with white walls, lots of wood and rattan, and natural style accessories. The gorgeous images are shot by Barcelona based photographer Enrique Menossi. Formentera is great holiday destination by the way. Turquoise water, white sandy beaches and it is less touristy than it’s neighboring island Ibiza. I’m very much looking forward to my visit to both islands next month!
