wooden cameras

woodencameras1.jpg

Today I’m loving … these toy camera made from wood by Twig Creative. The cameras let your kids capture moments with their imagination and not your expensive camera. It has a spring-loaded shutter button and a turnable lens for the real picture taking effect. If this camera could take pictures of itself, it would. Made of solid wood, a cork bottom, and a cotton strap.

The Anagram (above) is a toy wooden camera inspired by Instagram. It is beautifully designed and handmade from sustainable wood, cork, and leather.

grey with soft pink

Grey can be a bit boring but this color will warm up with a touch of soft pink. These beautiful images are shot by photographer Line Klein. The lovely pink lamps in the image above are from Studio Snowpuppe.

a large riad in marrakech

Moroccan riads are always a great source of inspiration. Ryad Sharai is one of the biggest riads in Marrakech. It is hidden behind a weather-beaten door in a narrow street in the Bab Tharzout quarter. A riad is a house with a patio and this gorgeous riad has quite a large patio. It has seven bedrooms, all situated around the patio and the pool. Behind the labyrinth of rooms there is a staircase leading to the terraces. From there you have a magnificent view of the city and the Atlas mountains. The cosy cushions make this place very inviting!

For today’s fashion friday post I found the gorgeous black & white cardigan first (LOVE it, it went straight to my wish list) and then I searched for some accessories to go with it.

1. long chunky-knit cardigan from Rachel Zoe, 2. Petal To The Metal Natasha Bag by Marc Jacobs, 3. Slouchy Ankle Booties, 4. House of Harlow 1960 necklace.

a french country home

masjordi2.jpg

This beautiful Mas (a country house or farm in the South of France, usually made of stone) is located in Uzès, right in the heart of the Provence. The house is beautifully renovated and decorated with materials such as wood, stone and metal. I think this is a perfect combination of modern elements and traditional features.

trend: connecting the dots

interiorbollmapen.jpg

What does all these interior images have in common? Black & white dots, which I have been seeing a lot of lately. The lamps in the top image are easy to make yourself. Just buy plain rice paper lamps and draw some black dots on the lamps with a black marker.
