Today some dark colored interiors. I think the dark hues fit the wet and gloomy weather here in The Netherlands. I like these images but I do prefer a bit of color here and there. How do you feel about using darker colors in your home?

This beautiful home belongs to the editor-in-chief of Norwegian magazine Rom123. The interior is light and modern with lots of wood and black & white accents. The large round pendant is Random light from Dutch designer BertJan Pot.

Zid Zid Kids is one of my favourite brands for kids. I have used several of their fun poufs and pillows/toys to decorate my son’s playroom. I love Zid Zid’s ambition to design with an unlimited imagination while blending the magic of play with the beauty of the handmade into every product. Also, they work with respect of the environment and they firmly belief that fair trade is the only trade.
This is a sneak preview of the new fall 2012 collection which will be available soon. Zid Zid Kids’ creative director Julie Klear Essakalli is such a talented lady! I also love her illustrations that she does for books. She also did the beautiful mural (top image).

Today I’m loving … this Artichoke lamp which is a true design classic. The PH Artichoke Pendant was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 and it is manufactured by Louis Poulsen. The leaves are laser-cut steel to produce shape lines reflective of modern design.
The entire fixture is mounted by stainless steel aircraft cables to hold the unusually heavy weight of the light. For years, a number of companies have tried to replicate the Artichoke fixture; only a handful have made a replica that is at all geometrically and cosmetically similar.

Can you believe that this lovely apartment in Malmö, Sweden, measures less than 50 square meters? The white walls, high ceilings and white washed gives this apartment (which is for sale by the way) a spacious feel.

Today I’m loving … these toy camera made from wood by Twig Creative. The cameras let your kids capture moments with their imagination and not your expensive camera. It has a spring-loaded shutter button and a turnable lens for the real picture taking effect. If this camera could take pictures of itself, it would. Made of solid wood, a cork bottom, and a cotton strap.
The Anagram (above) is a toy wooden camera inspired by Instagram. It is beautifully designed and handmade from sustainable wood, cork, and leather.
