Today I’m loving … these Abstract Landscape Embroidery Artworks from Etsy seller Erin Dollar. This embroidery is hand stitched onto a piece of fabric that has been silkscreened with a detailed white abstract foreground. The embroidery pattern mirrors the white screenprinted shape in an organic way, and was embroidered freehand.

I have a million things to do (to feed a baby among others..) but I have to show you these gorgeous artworks that I just found on Etsy. These original and handmade pictures are created from little hearts. For special occasions you can personalize these artworks, when some of the hearts could be replaced by your required initial(s), date(s) or names. I love the white ceramic coffee pot in the image above. This handmade coffee pot is from Sargadelos. This Spanish label is one of Europe’s most unique porcelain design and creation companies, with more than two hundred years of history closely linked to the development of Galician culture in all spheres of creativity. The coffee pot, and a matching tea pot, is available from Le Souk.

colors from the mediterranean

Although it is still summer it more looks like autumn here in The Netherlands as it has been raining for days now. I will be preparing some autumn inspired posts for September but in the mean time I continue showing summer houses and summer colors. After all, according to the calendar, it is still summer!

Today gorgeous rich colors from the Mediterranean! Borrowing color from the surrounding sea and sky as inspiration, the Mediterranean has an abundance of deep blues, teals, and tans, but lavenders and greens and other deep colors sneak their way in through the flora of the area.

Stylist Shannon Fricke transformed her old cupboard with pretty wallpaper. Here Signature Prints and Cole & Son offcuts are used but the Birdhouse, Porcelain or Ribbon wallpaper from Studio Ditte are also perfect for such a project. If you are more into black & white the Familjen (photo frames) or Svarmor (shoes) wallpaper from Lisa Bengtsson are fun to use.
