Barb from Knack Studios rescues vintage and found furniture. She restores the furniture pieces with paint, paper and fabric, bringing new life into each piece. Above and below some example of pieces that she has ‘rescued’.
Knack Studios is located in Greenville, USA. You can also find their designs on their website and on their blog.

Not so long ago trend watcher Li Edelkoort predicted that people will create their own ‘museum houses’. We will more and more start living among all kind of collections. This way we can show our identity and our uniqueness. Our collections, of for instance vintage glass and ceramics, can make our house and ourselves stand out of the crowd. In stead of mass production, we want unique and handmade objects!

I especially love vase & pottery collections. Unfortunately I haven’t got enough space to display my large vase collection and therefore I am saying farewell to part of my collection. In the top image above you can see most of the vintage vases that I am selling on Ebay. Click here to see all items that I have for sale on Ebay.

The new IKEA catalogue is out! The catalogue is published in 55 different editions, in 27 languages for 35 countries. It has surpassed the Bible as the most published work, estimated 175 million copies (2006) worldwide. The first catalogue was published in 1951. The images above and below images are from the 1965 catalogue. Funny that this 44 year old catalogue still has a familiar look!

I have a thing for vintage vases and I love the ones available at Johnny Tapete. If you don’t know this online store, you must know that they also have a beautiful and extensive vintage wallpaper collection!
