Steal: retro-style table lamp

I made a trip to IKEA yesterday. I was on a mission to find some inexpensive, yet gorgeous, plant pots. Mission completed! Click here to see the pots I bought. I have put some agaves in them and they just look great!

I also saw thee retro-style table lamps. I didn’t buy ithem as I do not have any space for them but I think they are very cute AND affordable (€9.99/$12.99). Lamp LYKTA is available in different colours and would make a nice bedside lamp.

It’s my interest in modern, contemporary, and cutting edge interior design, prints and patterns that will keep this store growing and changing. I love watching new trends emerge, grow and change”.

Steal of the Week: pillows by Joom

interior design photos
I love shopping at Etsy. One of my favourites shops is the one from Joom. This designer and artist from the San Francisco Bay area makes some gorgeous pillows. All designs are handmade and, costing $23, I think they are very affordable. Check out Joom’s shop at Etsy. She makes some beautiful cards as well.

Steal of the Week: Atelier LZC duvet covers with 30 – 50 % discount

A new feature on the style files is the Steal of the Week. Every week I will post a great, affordable find. Design does not have to be expensive. In my house I have mixed ‘cheap’ with ‘chic’. Dutch design objects are combined with for instance IKEA accessories and furniture. Not only is decorating more affordable this way but mixing cheap with chic also gives my home a more unique character.

Do you know a great deal? Have you been bargain hunting recently? Let me know and share it with the rest of us. We all love great deals!

The first steal are these gorgeous duvet covers by Atelier LZC. Their sketches of birds, butterflies and leaf motifs, bright and vibrant silhouettes, adorn pieces of home ware and fabrics transforming them into irresistible works of art. For French online & catalogue shop La Redoute they designed a special collection of bedlinen and home accessories.
