stylish baby accessories

If you are not into blue or pink but prefer natural colors, it might be difficult to find stylish accessories for a nursery. I had this problem and I am very happy to have these beautiful, handmade accessories for nurseries and kids room now available from Le Souk. All items are handmade by women in Nepal who are offered a fair salary and good working conditions.

I love the soft and warm feel the products have and the subtle colors. All accessories have beautiful details such as wooden buttons. Available products: pillow/pouf (top image), storage basket (item 1 below), bottle cover (item 2 below), blanket/bedspread (item 3 below), bunting bag with fleece lining and a storage bag.

toast spring summer 2012

The new Toast Spring Summer 2012 collection is out and as always their catalogue is a feast to the eye. Every page screams summer to me! Here a selection to get you in a summer mood..

Cushion Oleron (above) is made of a soft ticking stripe cotton.

The striped hamam towels are perfect to take to the beach. The espadrilles are available in various colors.

This clay tableware is handmade in a small South African pottery. Each is made individually so no two will be the same.

I love these soft, washed cotton bedlinen with lace trim on the duvet covers and the pillow cases in beautiful colors such as pebble grey and pale cream.

I love to drink my morning coffee from a nice cup and have my breakfast on a lovely plate. Since having my son Kick these quiet moments are unfortunately rare in our busy household but when they do happen I make sure to enjoy them with beautiful home accessories.

I love things made from wood and these beautiful rustic items from Etsy shop Gray Works make my heart beat a little bit faster.

The Milkmaid stool is a variation of the traditional three-legged milking stool. Gray Works has updated the design with quirky but steady asymmetry for a style that works everywhere from modern, to rustic, to farmhouse retro. The seat is hand hewn, and the legs are turned in their shop.

The gorgeous wooden cutting boards /serving platters can be personalized with a custom engraving. They make a wonderful present!
