TRUCK FURNITURE is an independently-run furniture store/label from Osaka, Japan. Owner Tokuhiko Kise and Hiromi Karatsu have combined sustainability with a retro feel to produce a gorgeous collection of furniture.

The TRUCK catalog, shot in the home of co-owner Tokuhiko Kise, has a cult following in Tokyo. It sure is a feast to the eye!

Unfortunately the images and catalog are from inspiration only as these beautiful furniture pieces are not available outside Japan. Perhaps this will change in the future…

Today I’m loving … these ottomans from Danish design label Hay. The ottomans are made from antique Indian saris, each sari carries its own history which is transferred to the ottoman.

The ottomans are available in two sizes.

Hay also has some beautiful antique quilts in their collection which are made from four to five layers of vintage saries hand tacked together

It is the time of year to think about garden furniture. I love the designs from French company Fermob and these bistro chairs in yellow are just lovely!

Today I’m loving … this lovely small table with chalkboard paint.

Some beautiful new poufs have arrived at Le Souk! They are great to use a extra seats, or to create a cosy corner in your home. With a tray they can also be used as a (low) table.

The poufs featured are: Suzani Pouf in grey, the large Ibiza Pouf in brown, and the small purple pouf. The stylish leather pouf in the image above is made from soft suede leather in a warm grey color.

We are happy with our new chairs that arrived last Friday! The chairs are made from scrapwood by Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek. I think they match really well with our living room which used to be a cow stable.

The pendant lights are from IKEA and the baby chair is from Stokke. I love the white porcelain teapot which is handmade by Spanish label Sargadelos. The large vases are from Le Souk, as well is the wooden tray which is also designed by Piet Hein Eek.

I love things made from wood, especially old wood. No wonder that I LOVE these photos showcasing the designs of carpenter Andrea Brugi.

Andrea’s ‘laboratorio’ with all his beloved amazing pieces is a graveyard of beautiful old stuff. Here you can find anything: old railway beams, chairs and tables with a missing leg, tree trunks, roots from a 400 year old olive tree, etc. All just waiting to be fixed or given a new life.

All his designs have a strange touch of naivety, yet a the same time they are modern and contemporary with a rustic and organic appearance.

Andrea always tell people that he doesn’t make up the shapes: “the shape is already in the piece – a design of nature”.
