I love things made from wood and these beautiful rustic items from Etsy shop Gray Works make my heart beat a little bit faster.

The Milkmaid stool is a variation of the traditional three-legged milking stool. Gray Works has updated the design with quirky but steady asymmetry for a style that works everywhere from modern, to rustic, to farmhouse retro. The seat is hand hewn, and the legs are turned in their shop.

The gorgeous wooden cutting boards /serving platters can be personalized with a custom engraving. They make a wonderful present!

I love every item in Colette Bream’s Etsy shop! The Mattress Pad (top image) can be used on the bed or on the floor as a play met. The famous, high quality cotton fabric from Liberty of London has been used for this product. Liberty style is characterized by tender palettes, attractive flowers, and detailed movement.

And what about those star shaped cushions with a cotton raw edge! These look gorgeous in a nursery or kids room and are perfect for sweet little naps.

Other favorites of mine are the house shaped pillow made from lambswool and the cloud shaped pillow which is also made from lambswool.

Today I’m loving … this beautiful porcelain plates from Etsy shop Zuppa Atelier. The plates will look stunning on a table of course but I can also see them hanging on a wall (grouped together).

Julia, who creates these lovely pieces in her atelier in Brazil: “Each piece is unique, hand drawn and painted, using a combination of techniques of free hand, pen and ink and brushes. It’s a very slow process that requires a lot of patience, dedication and love for what I do.”

Today I’m loving … these beautiful screenprinted home accessories from Etsy shop Jenna Rose. Jenna starts each design out as a drawing, largely inspired by her surrounding and the everyday objects within it. Each piece is screen-printed in house using water based pigments and natural or organic materials.

These scarves from Etsy shop Dear June are perfect for summer! Made of 100% super fine high quality cotton, hand made and hand dyed one by one. Super light, soft and highly versatile. Ideal for those breeze nights on the coast or those chilly mornings in the city. You can tie this scarf into a knot and carry it all day with you into your bag for when you need it.

Dear June: “Inspired by the month of summer, long beaches of golden sand, turquoise sea waters, the blues and pinks of the sky and that unceasing salty breeze. DEAR JUNE is the fusion of my love for soft, light and almost airy fabrics, weightless feathers and the sea.”

Today I’m loving … these wooden necklaces from Le Voyage Creatif’s etsy shop. The display of the various necklaces, each piece is paired with an equally beautiful nature picture, is simply gorgeous. Everything in this shop is handmade in the designer’s little studio on an island in a Norwegian fjord.

Today I’m loving … these paper thin porcelain lace bowls from Etsy shop Hideminy. Hidemi was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan where she earned her degree as a fashion designer. She sees beauty and joy in just about everything and wants to express it through her ceramics.

Dispense your facial tissue in style with this lovely handcrafted wooden whale from Etsy shop Gnome Sweeeet Gnome. Each whale is completely hand cut, hand sanded, hand painted, and hand constructed which requires several hours of loving attention per whale. The wood is purchased from a local lumber store who buys directly from sustainable forestry companies in the United States.

Simple, clean, and classic. These are the words that can be used to describe the vintage finds of Julie, the owner of Etsy shop The Old Red Hen. Thrifting, antiquing, and collecting have been part of Julie’s life since she was a young girl.

Her mother, grandmother, aunts & uncles have always filled their homes with timeworn treasures and interesting relics. Julie would never tire of looking at unusual vintage pieces or hearing stories of where they’d come from.

You can see all available items in Julies’ shop here.
