I’m loving all these Christmas stars with lights. If you are handy you can make one yourself or you can buy one similar to the stars in the third image from Le Repère des Belettes. Their website is in French but world wide shipping is available.

black & white christmas decorations

xmasblack1.jpg

Red, green and gold are the traditional Christmas colors but I am seeing a lot of decorations in black & white. Personally I like this much better as I am not too fond on red and green. What are your colors for Christmas?

diy: toilet paper roll advent calendar

Today I’m loving … this advent calendar made from toilet paper rolls and cardboard. And you don’t need to wrap the calendar gifts, you simply lock them inside the rolls. Find out how to make this calendar on Morning Creativity.

a warm christmas atmosphere

ysxmas1.jpg

This the warm and inviting family home of designer Ylva Sharp. When the holiday season is approaching Ylva makes her home, which is a renovated school house in Hjortnäs, Sweden, ready for Christmas by decorating it with sheepskins, wood work and beautiful decorations made from paper, pine cones and twigs. The family usually organise craft evenings with friends. It’s fun to make your own Christmas cards and decorations, says Ylva. Ylva’s tips for a warm Christmas atmosphere: “Take advantage of what nature has to offer. Small spruce, pine cones, twigs, etc. are great Christmas decorations. Also, group decorations together instead of spreading them out, it gives a calmer atmosphere. And last, lots of candlelight!”
