This beautiful house is the home of Daniela Cavestany and Spanish photographer Jordi Canosa. It is no wonder that Daniela is a stylist as her home on the Spanish island Formentera is stunningly decorated. It is this style that I love: rustic but stylish, use of natural materials, a cosy bohemian chic vibe, neutral tones with purple and lavender accents. To me this is the perfect summer home! The house is for rent during the summer months. You can contact Daniela at Daniela@bydaniela.com for more information and rates. Please bare in mind that this is a luxurious home and that rental prices for these kind of houses on Formentera are high (between €400 – 1000 per day).

Today I am loving … this absolutely stunning tiles from Claesson Koivisto Rune. This multi disciplinary design/architecture office is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and was founded in 1995 by former University College of Arts classmates Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune.

Let’s come with me to Barcelona, Spain, today and take a peek into this beautiful home. The neutral toned color scheme and the high ceilings and windows give this apartment an airy and spacious look. The clean lined place is decorated with modern furniture but the wooden accessories and several rugs give warmth to the various rooms.

Today I’m loving … this hamam style bathroom with tadelakt walls.

You can create a similar look with the items featured above: copper hamam bowls, cotton hamam towels, Egyptian pendant lights.

Danish company Made a Mano was founded in 2001 by Rosario Parrinello, NanaKi Bonfils and Josephine Akvama. Their ambition is: “to create a collection of tiles, countertops and sinks, combining ancient traditional handicraft with modern techniques. Revealing a sure sense of beauty and style.”

Their tiles are entirely made by hand from lavastone and terracotta. The patterns and colors are gorgeous, combining different styles create a stunning and unique effect.

Vibrant colors were already a trend in the fashion scene but now I am seeing shades of hot pink and orange also been used in interiors. In the image above (found via Apartment Therapy) the vibrant pink in the bath rug really pops out in the predominantly white bathroom

Neon pink and bright orange are used on the wall and as a accent colors (images from Freunde von Freunde, via Emmas Designblogg).

Today I’m loving … this semi outdoor bathroom.

Today I’m loving … this serene bedroom with brick walls and ensuite bathroom. More images of this old farmhouse in Italy are featured on The Travel Files.

Do you have tiles in your bathroom or do you prefer a different coating on your walls? Today’s post features both options! Tadelakt (as used in the image above) is a great if you don’t want to use tiles in your bathroom or kitchen. It is a waterproof lime plaster traditionally used in hammams and bathrooms of the riads in Morocco.

The beautiful shiny tiles in the picture above give a totally different effect and atmosphere (tiles and image from Walker Zanger).

For a bathroom I love the use natural materials such as wood, rattan, cotton and linen. The bathrooms featured in the images above and below are just perfect!

The images above are from M. E. Schoole but I can’t remember the source of the top image. Does anyone know?

Accessories to create a similar natural and serene atmosphere: copper hamam bowls, thick Turkish towels, cotton hamam towels, stool made from solid wood.
