I love these beautiful ceramic bows made by Colleen Hennessey. All of these are pieces of art! Colleen grew up in Mill Valley, California, spending most of her days outdoors. She was influenced by the natural beauty around her. Both her parents made things with their hands: woodworking, gardening, and sewing. Trained in sculpture at Kansas City Art Institute, Colleen supported herself as a cook for fifteen years. Ceramics was a natural progression from Colleen’s art, gardening, and cooking. Her rustic-minimal style is inspired by the convergence of her background in sculpture with her passion for growing and cooking food. Each one of Colleen Hennessey’s bowls is simple, functional, and full of understated character. Her work is available from Quitokeeto.
