Last year I started my resolution to be a more “conscious consumer’. This means buying less (mass produced) stuff and spend more on higher quality goods. My wardrobe is a lot smaller now but I know have more beautiful fashion pieces that last longer. If you are interested you can read more about conscious consumerism here and here. One of the things I would like to have this season is a beautiful caftan (I have a thing for caftans and tunics!). I love the ones from TWO New York. It is a bit of a splurge but this will be another investment piece that will last for years. TWO is a small collection of chic and effortless tunics, caftans and dresses made locally in New York using handwoven textiles and saris from India. The collection embodies European and Indian influences evolving from the traditional sari. All items are gorgeous but my favorite caftan is the silver grey caftan in the second image. It is sold out everywhere but Barneys still have some available (I am still contemplating whether I shall buy this one – it will blow a hole in my budget though but it is so beautiful..).
