A SMALL HOME IN THE HEART OF PARIS

This beautiful home in located in Le Marais in the heart of Paris measures only 40m2 (540 square foot). The apartment belongs to architect Margaux and Thomas, a designer. The builing at the Rue Saint Paul originates from the 18th century and it has beautiful original features (wooden beams) which are mixed with contemporary elements such as the steel glass doors. The combination of old and new is very well executed!

  1. What a beautiful apartment, I love it a lot! I have to admit though 40 m² wouldn’t be enough for me if I had to share them with someone 🙂

  6. I love this flat so much! The color palette is very serene and minimalist. It’s amazing what this home owner did with only 40 m^2. It is quite an impressive and stylish way to utilize their home space.

  8. I particularly like the lovely pattern and texture of BaTonga winnowing baskets on the wall above the sofa. They are handmade in Zimbabwe. See the BBC for pics of the baskets being woven – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-11497446

  9. Just my color scheme and lots of beautiful details. I love this place. Small at its best.

  10. Absolutely beautiful. But 540sqft is 50m2, not 40… So it’s not THAT small!

  11. Very beautiful. Love the combination of crisp white and aged wood.
The place indeed looks bigger than 40 sq m – well done!
