This beautiful rural home in New South Wales, Australia, was recently featured on The Design Files. Elise and Pablo’s home, which is a converted weatherboard church, is perched on a block of land near the Hawkesbury River. The church dates back to 1880, and was operational until 10 years ago. During the renovation one of the biggest job was to weatherboard and paint the whole inside of the building. Also, internal walls on the back veranda were demolished to create a large kitchen which looks out to the garden. The couple’s decorating style is relaxed, they have added things slowly and carefully. One of their latest additions is the beautiful Dedon nestrest hanging in the tree. How I would love to have this oversized bird’s nest in our garden!
