A STYLISH LOFT IN THE HEART OF SOHO, NEW YORK

pen-1

This classic loft in the heart of Soho, New York, was built in the 1860s. Characteristic are the beautiful high ceilings and large windows. When a family with children moved into this large loft on Crosby Street they hired British interior design firm Ochre to do the renovation. The designers were keen to retain as much of the original character as possible. Their strategy was to mix old and new in the interiors. The beautiful pendant in the kitchen (top image) is made by Ochre, the white and pastel ceramics is available from Canvas. London based Ochre has a showroom in New York, which also sells furniture and accessories, including their handmade lamps. The firm characteristics are a down to earth style based on quality and craftsmanship.
