A FASHION DESIGNER’S HOME IN SAN FRANCISCO

klein-4

This is the beautiful San Francisco home of fashion designer Courtney Klein, owner of Storq (which focuses on maternity fashion). The house, which was built in the late 1890s, is located in Mission District. Although the house is about 125 years old, it is very sturdy as it has survived two of the largest earthquakes in modern time without any structural damage. The decor is an interesting combination of vintage items, modern pieces, DIY designs (such as the the entry wall made out of wooden pallet) and things brought back from abroad. This unique mix gives the house a lot of character.

  1. great entry-way idea, and i love those glass bookcases/shelves!

  2. Happy new year! Great blog!

  3. Can you tell me where the glass bookcase is from? I’m dying to have it!

  4. Hello – this is pretty cool. i lived in the Mission District back in 1997 at 948 South Van Ness, Apt #3. at least, i think it was #3. it could have been #1. but this house looks absolutely stunning. i’m sure it sells for a pretty, pretty penny. i live in Oakland, across the Bay, but the Mission is as close to what Oakland is like West of the Bay, so that’s a great choice of neighborhood. the dining room table is breathtakingly simple in design, so functional and big, it’s meant to be surrounded by friends and family, and they are meant to be surrounded by each other. i would want to live here too. does the fashion designer give tours? :)

  5. This is a very nice house.

  6. hi there,
