A WINTER BBQ IN A DUTCH BARN

SIMPLY SLOW, a lovely community initiating small get togethers, recently organized a winter BBQ in bio dynamic farm ‘De Stadshoeve’ in Zunderdorp (which is by the way not far from where I live). During this get together the participants learned to make a loaf of bread. They were taught how to knead the perfect dough with just some basic needs: flour, water, sourdough and a little salt. From experience I know that this is all you need to make delicious bread. It is very simple but you just have to know how to do it. In the meantime a warm fire was lit outside in the yard where kids baked their bread on large sticks. Inside the barn glühwein (mulled wine) and hot chocolate was served. SIMPLY SLOW: “Simple life was embraced with warm companionship, honest laughter and pure food.” I just wish that I was there to enjoy this wonderful initiative..
