A SUMMER HOME IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

eclectic-4

This beautiful home belongs to a Danish family consisting of Christina Winther, her husband and their five children. It is located in Vence, a lovely village at the Mediterranean coast in the South of France. The minimalistic approach with respect to the interior decor shows the family’s Scandinavian roots. Design classics such as the Egg chair are combined with ethnic accessories. Purple would not be my first choice of color when it comes to picking out furniture but I love how those purple Tolix chairs brighten up the dining area.

  1. Exciting and dynamic association between purple and classic wood. Sometimes breaking the clichés are welcome.

  2. oh soooo fresh and peaceful

  3. I think the purple chairs really work, they are such a contrast that they become a feature of the room. Rather than ruining the serene balance to the home they add a new level of intrigue for the eye and breaking up the continuity a bit.

  4. Love the colour combination of cushions on the sofa and the purple and rustic wood combination too. Creative and different.
