WEEKEND ESCAPE: A STUNNING CONVENT ON CORSICA

Convent SanFrancescu of Oletta is a magical place located on the island of Corsica in France. The Franciscan convent dates back to the Eighteenth Century. It was left in ruins and artist Candida Romero spent eleven years to restore the compound to its current glory. Nowadays San Francescu has a contemporary feeling while respecting the original functionalities of the convent. It is a lively place of artistic creation in all its forms (music, photography, dance, theater etc.). The monastery is available for hire and makes a wonderful place for photo shoots and movies.

  3. Hello everybody really love your blog, first thing in the morning having a look what-s new here, have a nice day everybody, hope you like my own blog as well.

  4. What a beautiful place, so calm and serene. The large white rooms lend themselves perfectly to heavy wooden/rustic furniture choices and colourful upholstered pieces. I love the large mirror in the lounge area and the cow hide rug and art work complete the design.

  5. Any idea who is responsible for the painting in the first photo? I am quite taken with it…

  6. Beautiful place as always. Really inspired by your selection.
