Kids like color and there is a lot of it in Lea Bawnager’s home in Sweden. Lea lives here with her husband and their son Elliot. She loves to visit flea markets and often she comes home with beautiful finds. An old flower box, found on a flea market, serves as bookshelves (image above).
Toys can be stored in this Swedish wooden bench.
Most furniture in Elliot’s room was sourced on flea markets. The image below shows Elliot’s play corner in the living room.
Shop in this style:

In contrast to the house featured in yesterday’s post, this home has some color. The walls and floors are white but the art work, furniture and accessories give color to the various spaces. Some paintings are from the owner artist Suzanne Aamund herself, others are sourced by Suzanne and her husband.

I already posted about Babylonstoren on my other blog The Travel Files but I found some gorgeous new photos of this fabulous place on Yatzer that I would like to share with you.
Babylonstoren is a Cape Dutch farm (one of the oldest!) in the Cape Winelands, South Africa, with vineyards and orchards surrounded by the dramatic mountains of the Drakenstein Valley. It has an exceptionally well–preserved werf dating from 1690.
The guest suites echo Cape Dutch farm buildings. The style developed in the Cape Colony of the 17th and 18th century: outer walls are whitewashed and decorated with ornate gables and thatched roofs
A fruit and vegetable garden of botanical diversity supplies a remarkable restaurant.
Guests staying here enjoy access to the entire farm, plus facilities like a spa and gym. The aim is to have guests feel more comfortable, more alive among warm smiles and the simple daily rhythm of the farm. Sounds like the perfect place to relax and escape busy every day life!

Today I’m loving … my x-mas tree from Wood & Wool Stool that arrived yesterday. It is beautiful and the white and natural scrapwood matches perfectly with our white Piet Hein Eek scrapwood chairs.

Saturday I visited Flavourites Live in Amsterdam, a shopping event organised by shopping portal Flavourites. Over 160 online shops were present with a booth selling their products during this 3-day event. Together with some more bloggers I got a tour around the cool and urban location (an old factory in Amsterdam). If you like shopping and discovering new shops this is a great (yearly) event to visit. Above some pictures to get an impression of the event.
