wanted: this wooden stool

woodenikeastool.jpg

Today I’m loving … this beautiful wooden stool. It is from IKEA but unfortunately it is no longer available. I’ve seen the stool several times in the past few months and every time I see it I want it more.. Does anybody know the name of the stool? The inspiring photo (gorgeous!) by the way, is shot by Marjon Hoogervorst while styling is from the hand of AnoukB.

smallable halloween scavenger hunt

smallablehalloween.jpg
This Halloween, super stylish children’s boutique Smallable is putting on a spooky scavenger hunt with a special Halloween Prize to win. The fashion and design concept store for kids ages 0-12 has hidden four Halloween characters on their site… a witch, a ghost, a scarecrow, and a pumpkin! Your mission:
1) Find one or more of the villains on the Smallable site and click the «like» button next to the character to show you’ve found it.
2) Then go to the facebook page and leave a comment to say you have played (but shhhh! Don’t say where the spooky character is hidden!)
3) Smallable will announce the winner and special Halloween prize.

Here’s a hint to find one of the hidden spooky characters: The witch is looking for a new black dress… look for her in the girls clothing section!
Too easy? Find all four! The scarecrow, ghost, and pumpkin are lurking in the midst…

a converted watermill in denmark

boligbynord1.jpg

This beautiful house in Denmark was once an old watermill. The owners, Vibe and Jesper Krogh, transformed the run down building to a modern country home that oozes personality and charm.

Vibe and Jesper managed to combine the idyllic country house atmosphere with their more clean and modern personal style.

black & white love

hogervorstzw1.jpg

I love these images shot by Marjon Hoogervorst for Est Magazine. The inspiring photos are accompanying a trend report by stylist Anouk B (who also styled the photo shoot). A trip to Paris affirmed Anouk’s appreciation for Parisian chic both in stores and on the street where the use of black and white is as strong today as in the time of Coco Chanel.

a lovely home in los feliz, los angeles

lozfeliz1.jpg

This lovely house is located in Los Feliz, a hilly neighborhood in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California. It has been decorated by Alexandra Angle Interior Design. This interior design company is based in Los Angeles as well as in New York. I love the interior which is cosy but modern with various design classics. Large doors in the bedroom give access to a beautiful outdoor area. How lovely to start your day here!
