Masseria Alchimia is a tranquil, small, designer resort on Apulia’s Adriatic coast (Italy). The ten studios are all furnished with a selection of design classics and combinations of deep warm colors and materials.

More beautiful images of this resort can be seen on my new blog The Travel Files. Check it out!

Today I’m loving … these storage jar with lids painted with chalkboard paint. This way you can easily label and relabel the jars. It’s a simple diy project: get some jars and apply a coat of primer on the lids. Then apply the chalkboard paint and voila, your jars are ready!

TRUCK FURNITURE is an independently-run furniture store/label from Osaka, Japan. Owner Tokuhiko Kise and Hiromi Karatsu have combined sustainability with a retro feel to produce a gorgeous collection of furniture.

The TRUCK catalog, shot in the home of co-owner Tokuhiko Kise, has a cult following in Tokyo. It sure is a feast to the eye!

Unfortunately the images and catalog are from inspiration only as these beautiful furniture pieces are not available outside Japan. Perhaps this will change in the future…

I am happy and proud to tell you that my new website The Travel Files is now live! Together with Carlos (who created the winning design) I have been working hard to tweak the design to perfection. Check it out! I hope you enjoy it.
The Travel Files is about traveling, exploring, dreaming and enjoying life. We showcase beautiful destinations from all over the world. Small or large, urban or rural, budget or high end: it doesn’t matter, as long as a place has a certain charm, edge or uniqueness. The Travel Files is dedicated to search the globe for beautiful hotels, B&B’s, restaurants, shops and other places worth visiting.

This country kitchen is just gorgeous! I am also loving the food styling in the images below. It makes me very hungry!

We are working hard on the travel files which will be live soon! In the mean time some holiday inspiration pics here on the style files. The images are from the portfolio of Chris Court.

For a bathroom I love the use natural materials such as wood, rattan, cotton and linen. The bathrooms featured in the images above and below are just perfect!

The images above are from M. E. Schoole but I can’t remember the source of the top image. Does anyone know?

Accessories to create a similar natural and serene atmosphere: copper hamam bowls, thick Turkish towels, cotton hamam towels, stool made from solid wood.

Today I am loving … these new sorbet-fresh colors of Skinny laMminx’s Eep pillow! The colors have names like blueberry, framboos (which means raspberry), cocoa and lemon ice. Yummy!

Today some gorgeous pictures from Marrakech photographed and styled by Studio Aandacht.
