Neutral tones and raw materials are the main ingredients that were used to decorate this gorgeous home. The sleek kitchen island (top image) is stunning.
Designer pieces but also furniture and accessories from IKEA can be found in the various rooms. For example, the wicker pendants in the photo above are from IKEA.
Green, grey and brown shades have been used for the bedroom and hallways.
The outdoor area is a perfect place for a sunny breakfast.

On emmas designblogg I found this great lamp created by Annaleena. What you need to make this lamp yourself is basically a lamp shade, wooden beads and rug strips – the easiest way to make these is to tear white bed sheets into thin “rag rug strips”. You can find full instructions here.

This shop is owned by Jan Skácelík who is a graphic designer/photographer/composer living in Olomouc, Czech Republic. In his shop you can find posters inspired by Scandinavian mid century modern design, Cathrineholm, Stig Lindberg, Marianne Westman etc.

This beautiful barn has been renovated by Seattle based architects Shed. According to the architects who both designed and built the barn: “the project involved the conversion of a barn into living space supporting a variety of activities and guests. The program called for a workroom/kitchen, an apartment, a bunk room, and bathrooms to be arranged within the existing building envelope.”
Each space was developed around a minimal palette of materials and color, with extensive re-use of existing barn materials. Some of these materials included the re-use of the original barn siding for interior paneling, re-milling of salvaged floor joists for stair material, trim and counter tops.
Emphasis was placed on durability and directness of design solutions with the aim of creating practical and unique results.
