Many of you liked the pompoms in Clover’s nursery. You can easily make them yourself. You can find instructions here on Martha Stewart Living’s website.

covet garden

pompom.jpg

I received an email from Lynda Felton in which she told me about a beautiful online magazine that she launched together with friends Jessica Reid and Rhonda Riche. Their magazine Covet Garden takes a peek into the homes and lives of some of the city’s most interesting people—spaces that have not been styled by interior decorators and that above all else reflect the passions and interests of those who live there.

The three friends about Covet Garden: “There are a lot of magazines and blogs that show cool interiors. But they always leave us feeling that we’re standing behind a rope, looking at the space like it’s a museum diorama. We started Covet Garden because we wanted to see a magazine that made us feel as though we were invited into someone’s home. And then, once they let us in, we started snooping around and got to know them a bit better.”

All these images are from the beautiful house of Shelly and Brendon which is featured in Covet Garden. Together with their their cute baby daughter Clover they live in a lovely neighborhood in Toronto.

You can read the entire article and see more images in Covet Garden. It is certainly worth checking out this magazine, I love it!!

etsy love

etsylove1.jpg

This beautiful Love sign from Etsy shop Old New Again is hand cut. All their signs are cut on their scroll saw, then sanded well. They then apply various mediums in layers to get that great shabby chic cottage look. They also have shelves in their collection.

This is what this husband and wife team say about their designs: “We love the vintage look, but with a POP of NEW! Sort of “fresh vintage” — the best of both worlds! We sell functional pieces that make your life easier and are inspired by our own needs at home. We try to come up with innovative designs that are both practical and pretty. Organizing can be cool!”
