a summer retreat in denmark

This little summer retreat is located in Solpletten, a small and charming garden society founded in 1942 situated in the middle of Søllerød Nature Reserve (Denmark) and facing beautiful forests.

Henriette Willerup and Anton Greiffenberg are the owners of this lovely little haven ”Villa Else”. They make the most delicious jams during apple and plum picking season. I love have fruit trees in the garden. We have a pear, apple and cherry tree in our garden and hopefully they will give plenty of fruit to make jams, cakes and other yummie things!

porcelain plates wallpaper

A great alternative for hanging plates on your wall as decoration (as in this post) is this beautiful ‘Porcelain Wallpaper’ from Dutch designers Studio Ditte. This wallpaper will turn (part of) your wall into something special! Tip: you can also mount the wallpaper in a frame, on cabinet doors and other kinds of furniture.

The designers of this wallpaper were inspired by little porcelain gems in their cabinets and unique finds on antique markets. Stacks of saucers represent looking back at a cosy tea moment. The wallpaper is available here (world-wide shipping!).

summer house

This gorgeous little summer house belongs to stylist Jenn Cranston. She created the headboard for the master bed (image above) from a bamboo screen bought at IKEA. How clever!
