Renowned trend forecaster Li Edelkoort and art director Andreas Mavrommatis share a passion for creativity, an extreme sense of perfectionism and generosity when hosting their clients. Together they designed Laurier, a restaurant and shop located in Galeries Lafayette in Paris, France.
Edelkoort and Mavrommatis started designing the space, imagining a shop, decorating their tables and studying new and hybrid menus. They then commissioned I+M architects to design and LCHT architects to construct the space. The result is a gorgeously decorated space with lots of Moroccan touches.
The beautiful handmade Egyptian pendant lights are available from Le Souk.
Some weekend inspiration with this simple glass collection: three vases and two candleholders on the super mini shelf from IKEA. The small round vase is also from IKEA.

The favorite flower of the home owners of this beautiful home in Lucca, Italy is the magnolia flower. Perhaps this is why they decided to take this color as the theme for the interior of their home where they live with their two daughters.
The ground floor apartment is located in a 17th century building which was originally used as a textile factory. The kitchen chairs in the images above are from IKEA. Sheer curtains separate the kitchen from the dining area.
The main color in the house is white varying from bright white to beige and silver tones.
The mirror reflects the main entrance of the house located at street level.

‘t Japanse Winkeltje (in English: little Japanese shop) in Amsterdam is a gallery space, shop and Japanese culture centre housed on three separate floors. Amsterdam based NEZU AYMO Architects have provided this shop with a total makeover, creating a playful interior with tactile qualities, surprising use of materials and a subtle sense of japaneseness.
The interior walls and ceilings on all floors are covered in natural materials. One side of the shop features undulating fabric shelves and on the other side loops of white mesh made of paper yarn soaked in rice water surround the wooden shelves.

This stunning house is located on Filicudi, one of eight islands that make up the Aeolian archipelago (Italy). Many of the beautiful summer houses that I showed here on the style files are on this small island. Are all the houses (& views) that gorgeous over there? Time for a trip I guess!
