christmas table setting

tolix.jpg

The beautiful Christmas table setting is styled by Sweet Paul. The Tolix chairs really look good in this picture. I love the branch with ornaments. Here some instructions from Sweet Paul to recreate this look : “First of all, off to the forest to find a good branch. Needs to be almost as long as your table. Then you knot lengths of twine around it and hang it from the ceiling from hooks. At least 5-6 hooks. Then you decorate with your finest ornaments. You are now ready to party.”

blueware collection by studio glithero

bluevase1.jpg

Anglo-Dutch designers Studio Glithero have created a series of vases and tiles decorated with shadows of plants captured on photosensitive chemicals. Called Blueware Collection and produced for Vauxhall Collective, the surface decoration was produced using a technique similar to traditional blueprinting.

The floral patterns on the objects were created by attaching plants to their surfaces before exposing them to light, leaving the areas in shadow underexposed.

Add some extra love to your Christmas gifts with these items from Etsy shop Perch Papiers‘ holiday collection. The hand stamped ribbon with love print (above) is great for wrapping gifts.

soul birds from sanne annukka

sanne2.jpg
I was just informed by Sanne Annukka that she has some new designs in her collection (just in time for Christmas!). These beautifully screen printed wooden ‘Soul birds’ are available for pre-order. They are limited edition, there are only 100 birds available. Handcrafted in England, the birds are made from solid brown oak from a sustainable source. Also new in Sanne’s collection are three limited edition silk screen prints; Spirits of the North, Archipelago and The Shamanic Tepee, which are available in Sanne’s online shop.

a gorgeous bathroom

bathroom1.jpg

When we were renovating our house I had these images in my ‘style book’ as inspiration for our bathroom. I wanted to created a similar serene atmoshpere and I liked the use of wood in this bathroom. We did not copy this bathroom though (our bathroom looks very different); I just used the images as inspiration to come to a certain style.

Isn’t this a pretty image? I love the red chandlier in this room. Unfortunately I can not remember where I found the photo so unfortunately I can’t mention any credits.

don’t forget the birds

birdsstar.jpg

Today was the first cold day (and night) here in The Netherlands. Now it is getting colder we must not forget the birds. This bird feeder is created by Sweet Paul. Not only is it great for the birds, but it also looks pretty hanging in a tree. You can find instructions to make one yourself here.
