It is dark and rainy here today so I thought to bring you some sunshine in the shape of this beautiful Italian summerhouse.

The house is located on Salina, one of the Aeolian Islands (Italy). Some nice facts: Salina is composed of six volcanoes and almost every house on the island has sea view! The decor is simple but very tasteful and really fits well with the house.

I know that winter hasn’t even started but I am already thinking about spring. Next spring we will be renovating our garden. As this will be a hell of a job we have to think and plan ahead. So that explains why I have garden furniture on my mind! When I was in the Provence, France, this summer I saw this beatiful garden set which would look great on our patio. I can already see us having breakfast there! The furniture set I am talking about is the 1900 series from French label Fermob. You can see it in the image above.

When I visited the beautiful city of Melbourne (Australia) a few years ago I stayed in the St. Kilda area. This is a lovely neighbourhood with beautiful Victorian houses. Every day I walked by these gorgeous houses and wondered how they looked from the inside.

My heart skipped a beat when Desire to Inspire featured this house located in St. Kilda! Finally I was able to take a peak inside one of those St. Kilda houses. And I wasn’t disapointed, this house is just gorgeous!

This Victorian terrace house has been renovated by architect owner Steven Whiting.

The real estate agent’s website: ‘Washed in light and flecked with original stained glass and timber, the space has been sculpted to honour heritage and a contemporary lifestyle’.

The modern furniture works wonderful with the traditional architectural features of the house.

The location of the house is an additional bonus. The beach is around the corner and there are wonderful cafes and restaurant nearby. Now I sound like a real estate agent!

More teatowels! These beauties are from Danish label Ferm Living. Some are available from Le Souk (you can find them here and here). I love how the teatowels are styled for this photo.

Heather Moore (aka Skinny laMinx) did it again! She has designed another gorgeous teatowel. The teapots and jugs above where the source of inspiration for her new design (step 1).

One day she drew all her teapots and jugs (step 2).

And then she made her drawings into a tea towel design called Teapots & Jugs (step 3). The teatowel are available in Heather’s Etsy shop for $12.50.
