framed ikat textile as wall hanging

This image (featured in Elle Decor March 2009 issue) is from painter Anne Becker’s New York apartment. I love the framed antique ikat textile that is being used as a wall hanging. A beautiful French farm table is used as a desk. But my favorite objects in this room are definitely Anne’s dogs Seymour and Leo!

  1. I adore this concept! I actually just bought some various wrapping papers and frames to do something very similar but on a slightly smaller scale. :D cool post.
    Hope you’ll follow mine.

  2. Thanks Lauren, I will make sure to check out yoru blog!

  3. I wanted to say the same: i want those dogs!
But also love the colors of both textiles

  4. You can find the pink ikat wall hanging as well as some other lovely colorful finds at a store Sheherazade NYC. They’ve got an online site too. Really great Oriental items but updated in fashion forward colors.

  5. Alot of the GREAT items from this featured apartment are available at Sheherazade (www.sheherazadenyc.com). Check out the exotic finds from Morocco, Syria, Turkey, Central Asia and more. A store not to be missed!
