
This image (featured in Elle Decor March 2009 issue) is from painter Anne Becker’s New York apartment. I love the framed antique ikat textile that is being used as a wall hanging. A beautiful French farm table is used as a desk. But my favorite objects in this room are definitely Anne’s dogs Seymour and Leo!

I adore this concept! I actually just bought some various wrapping papers and frames to do something very similar but on a slightly smaller scale.

You can find the pink ikat wall hanging as well as some other lovely colorful finds at a store Sheherazade NYC. They’ve got an online site too. Really great Oriental items but updated in fashion forward colors.
