Today I would like to show you more of the village that we recently moved to. The village is very small with only 70 houses and 300 people. There are no shops or restaurants but Amsterdam is just 15 minutes away.

These photos were taken last week when there was still ice. It was the first time in 12 years that we were able to skate on the lakes.

It is estimated that one million people were ice-skating last week (there are 16 million people living in The Netherlands).

This is the view from our back-yard (and from our living room).

You are lucky to live in a lovely place and the pics you take are beautiful.
BTW the number of skating people in your country is really impressive. You got me thinking of getting a pair of skates for myself lol:)

You are lucky in living in a place like this and so near from Amsterdam. Wish you the best in your new home.

You truly chose the best of both worlds. Living amongst peace and serenity and a mere stone’s throw from the the big city hustle and bustle.

Beautiful and serene! It reminds me strongly of a village I visited the brief period I was working in Amsterdam. Maybe its the same one!

Your country is so beautiful! We fell in love with it when we visited last year. I love the USA but would not be opposed to living in the Netherlands for awhile. It’s such a welcoming place to be.
