a stylish ranch

I am sorry for the limited amount of posts last week. Internet was not working in our house yet but now this has been fixed I am back in full swing! I start the week with showing you this gorgeous ranch in the US.

The owner is Liz Lambert , who has set up several hotels. Throughout the ranch you can find fabrics from Mexico and Guatemala. Isn’t that blanket in the top image gorgeous?!

A beautiful painting (gauche) hangs in the guest bedroom (image above).

I believe that the classic farm chairs in the image above are Windsor chairs.

The bathroom, with an antique bathtub, offers a beautiful view on the prairie.

house with vintage furniture

I still haven’t got internet access at home. Hopefully this will be fixed on Friday. This means that I can not upload images for new posts. Luckily I have saved some interior images which I can share with you now.

This beautiful home is heaven for vintage lovers as it is full of vintage furniture and accessories.

Most furniture is vintage Scandinavian design, the yellow chairs for example are from Arne Jacobsen (the ant chair).

a riad in marrakech

I have posted about the work of photographer Gaelle Le Boulicaut before but her gorgeous work is worth to be mentioned again (and again..).

These images were shot for Elle Decoration. The beautiful Morrocan riad is located in Marrakech.

interior inspiration

It has been a hectic week! Last week we moved to our new home. The house is still being renovated so we will be living in a mess for the next 6 weeks. The first night we did not have hot water and heating but luckily this has been fixed. We still have no internet access but hopefully this will be fixed by next weekend.

Today some interior inspiration. I love this house! All the rooms are very spacious and beautiful decorated. Isn’t that dining room gorgeous?!

trend: bedroom as a living space

The bedroom is becoming more than just a room to sleep in. The trend is to make your bedroom into a private place where relaxation, romance and tranquillity is important.

The decoration is luxureous with a surprising mix of classic and modern elements. For instance, a classic bed from Vi-Spring is combined with the Vitra Slow Chair.

You can recreate this glamorous look by using luxureous fabrics and pastel colors for walls, furniture and accessories.
