Using black like this reminds me of two significant periods in recent history, firstly the mourning period of the Victorian era where it was almost etiquette for middle and upper class people to adorn their houses with elaborate black furniture, secondly, the art deco movement where black is used as liberally as white and often to greater effect.
It’s also good to see black associated with quality again as all we have seem for the last few decades is cheap black plastic imposing in the home.

Beautiful! Black interior with bright clor accents and and a few luxurious furnishings always looks stunning to me, provided the room is not clogged with firniture or decor pieces. Black interiors have to be clean.

Black always has a very sleek and luxurious appearance. Absolutely love the yellow accents on the table and in the bathroom. Very nice.

love love LOVE L-O-V-E the black bedroom. We did our bedroom in a so dark chocolate brown it’s almost black and it is incredibly warm and inviting. Also painted an entire wall black and hung mirrors on it. Gorgeous.

Thanks so much for the gorgeous pictures of the black rooms. I just painted my bathroom black with cream and grey accents and I love it!
