One of the trends for this season spotted at the interior fair in Milan is inspired by rural life. Hand-made objects and environmental responsible materials are seen more often in interiors.

Grey colours combined with the trend colour indigo are part of this trend.

More and more we have the need to surround ourselves with beautiful and unique furniture and accessories. We want no mass production but hand-made items that have story to tell.

You can recreate this look with the items featured in the image above: knitted poofs from Dutch designer Ineke Visser, wooden table from Gervasoni, paint colour DK Lead nr. 118 by The Little Greene, pendant light Stout from Tom Dixon.

Those are not knitted, but crocheted!
The grays with indigo look great. This decor feels reassuring.

Thanks for all your comments! I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
Jessica, the table is from Dutch designer Lotte van Laatum. See more info in this post: http://www.style-files.com/2008/07/18/room-for-improvement-by-lotte-van-laatum/

I love the re-appropriation of knit and crochet…so it doesn’t look grandma-ish at all.

Lovely pictures with a very cool colour spectrum. I really like your blog!
Any information on the little stove? Is it real or fake? Is it available online? Thanks for a beautiful and cozy look. I am drawn to the handmade charm of the items.
