white kitchens & dining areas

As I’m still in need for kitchen inspiration today another post about kitchens and dining areas. The focus today is on white kitchens and dining rooms. In the mainly white dining area in the image above black accents such as the lamp from Moooi create focus and definition.

The kitchen in the image above is more a family room than just a kitchen. The kitchen units are from Ikea, the chairs are from Dwell, and a similar table can be found at Habitat

I love an open kitchen-diner as in this image. The brick alcove gives character to the modern space.

I want to have a large kitchen island as the one in the image above that also doubles as a breakfast bar.

A pearlescent wallpaper gives glamour to this open-plan dining room (image above). Textures such as lacquer, glass and fabrics with elegant detailing creates a feel of sophistication.

  1. I love these!

And then I thought of spaghetti sauce. And tossing a big jar across the room in slow motion. That would be a cool commercial.

  2. I can’t remember where I saw the idea recently but they had an island in the kitchen as usual but they had built a cozy curved banquette into the island. The island was curved to match the shape of the curve in the banquette. Very pretty lines and it saved a lot of space!

  3. wow, these images are beautiful. Makes me doubt my choice on the wooden table, I love these white tables too :(

  4. The first image is one of my favorite ever!! Lovely post:)

  5. The all white decor is so beautiful! Makes me feel like weeping as my house is anything but white. Not really my choice but oh well, perhaps next time…

  6. Loving these kitchen. I really like the first with the white stool. That was a neat touch to the table. Have a nice day! Daisy~
