A couple of young architects transformed an old restaurant into a modern loft. This gorgeous apartment is situated in Beyoglu in Istanbul, Turkey. A lot of the furniture pieces are from Turkish design label Autoban.

Zwello is a new online store launched by the founders of YLighting.com. They carry furniture and accessories by many of the mid-century more noted names but they’re also big on fresh new designers. A whose-who of modern designers’ work is for sale including Alvar Aalto, Carlo Alessi, Charles and Ray Eames, Frank Gehry, Michael Graves, Isamu Noguchi, and many more. One of my favorite times from their collection are these beautiful glasses made from recycled glass. They are designed by Tord Boontje for Artecnica.

Some interior inspiration today! We are in the process of buying a new house (more about this in the coming weeks) so more than ever I am searching the net to find interior images for my inspiration book.

This beautiful house in located in Sweden. The interior is decorated in that typical Scandinavian style. Love it!

This ‘branch shelf’ is designed by London based studio Wokmedia. The piece is a response to the flooded, jungley environment where the designers were suddenly thrown into when they went to work in Sri Lanka, and the culture shock they experienced.

One of my favorite holiday destinations in Europe is Greece. On the Greek Islands you can find many beautiful boutique hotels. One of these is Hotel Ammos on the Island of Crete. This small elegant resort is ideally situated on a fine sandy beach, well away from the bustle of the city and yet only five km from the Venetian harbour and the old town of Chania.
